Supervised visitation across the City of Madison

A quick note on names: Madison is both a city and a county in Alabama. The City of Madison sits just west of Huntsville, mostly inside Madison County with a portion reaching into Limestone County — and it has been one of the fastest-growing cities in the state for years. New subdivisions keep pushing west and north, which means families are more spread out than the map suggests. That geography matters when a court orders supervised visitation — most providers schedule from one fixed office, which forces the parent who lives farthest away to absorb the cost of every additional mile.

TruVisit Alabama does it differently. Our supervisors meet families at mutually convenient public locations across the entire City of Madison, chosen with the child's comfort and the court order's safety conditions in mind. We don't charge mileage. We don't charge travel time.

Madison areas we regularly serve

  • Downtown Madison — the historic Main Street district
  • Rainbow Mountain
  • Hughes Road corridor
  • County Line Road corridor — including the Limestone County side
  • Clift Farm — north Madison
  • Town Madison — along I-565
  • Edgewater & Horizon school zones
  • Mill Road & Gillespie Road areas
  • Providence line — toward northwest Huntsville

Common Madison meet-up locations

Locations are selected case-by-case based on the court order, the child's age, and what makes sense for the visit. Public, family-appropriate venues we use regularly:

  • Dublin Park (including the indoor recreation center)
  • Palmer Park
  • Rainbow Mountain Nature Preserve family areas
  • Madison Public Library (indoor option)
  • Town Madison family venues
  • Clift Farm area restaurants and green spaces
  • Bridge Street Town Centre (nearby, indoor-adjacent options)
  • Family-appropriate restaurants along Hughes Road and Highway 72

North Alabama summers run hot and humid. From late May through September we lean toward air-conditioned indoor venues for the child's comfort and to avoid heat-safety issues that compromise visit quality.

Madison County courts and custody cases

Custody and divorce matters for most Madison families are heard in the Madison County Circuit Court; families on the west side of County Line Road may have cases in the Limestone County Circuit Court instead. We work with both. Our session reports are formatted in the objective, non-editorial, timestamped style these courts expect.

Custody and visitation in Alabama are governed primarily by Title 30 of the Code of Alabama, which controls custody, visitation, and support. For the broader process, see our guide to the Alabama family court process.

If your court order is from a Madison or Limestone County court Have a copy of the order ready when you call. The two things we most need to confirm during intake: the type of supervision ordered (full supervised visitation vs. monitored exchange vs. therapeutic), and any specific location or duration requirements written in the order. We can typically schedule a first session within 48–72 hours of intake completion.

  3. Schedule the first session — We coordinate with both parties and confirm a time and location in writing.
  4. The visit happens — A certified supervisor is present for the full session and documents observations in real time.
  5. Report delivered — A court-formatted written report is delivered within 24 hours to you, your attorney, or directly to the court depending on your order.
